Where will they go?

In reading the news of the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina I keep thinking to myself "where will they go?" If it takes months for order to be restored and so many are without homes, where will they stay?

I took a look at the HouseBlogs map and it looks like there are a few bloggers in the direct hit area, That Old House in New Orleans seems to be the worst off, staying with friends and not knowing what's to come.

I have another friend online who just found out she was pregnant last week and then she and her family had to flee. They left town on Friday and I've not heard from her yet. She lived in Gulfport, Mississippi which was featured on CNN Monday.

I almost want to stay come here and stay with us, we've got a spare room. I don't know anyone in the area though and we are a couple thousand miles away. It's too early almost to send clothing and things as well. I'm going to have to check out the Red Cross site to see what they say. Surely I can do something to help people rebuild their lives.
